The registered office of the company is established in the city of Thessaloniki, at 24 Agias Sofias Street.

Purpose

The purpose of the company is the utilization of knowledge derived from innovative applications in Ophthalmology and other collaborating scientific disciplines, aiming at the promotion of health and the implementation of support measures for individuals with low vision.

In particular, these purposes include:

  1. The dissemination of the spirit of scientific research in the field of low vision rehabilitation, in collaboration with all medical specialties and scientific disciplines that can contribute to its support.

  2. The utilization of scientific expertise for the development of original ideas and applications.

  3. The promotion and dissemination of knowledge both nationally and internationally through collaborations and scientific publications.

  4. The organization of scientific events, conferences, and workshops for the promotion, dissemination, advancement, and protection of the work of ophthalmologists and other scientists, as well as for the proper application of research.

  5. The provision of advisory services for the establishment of rules ensuring the sound and ethical application of diagnostic, therapeutic, and supportive methods, with respect for human dignity and in accordance with the existing legal framework governing medical research and treatment.

  6. The publication of a scientific journal in the English language entitled
    Hellenic Journal of Clinical and Experimental Research in Ophthalmology.

  7. The promotion of every new, original therapeutic, diagnostic, or supportive approach, in compliance with the principles of good scientific practice.

  8. Cooperation with all medical specialties, as well as with other scientific and technological disciplines, in common areas of knowledge convergence, for the research and treatment of conditions that cause severe and irreversible vision loss, and for the development and implementation of supportive tools.

  9. The support and advancement of research at all levels in the field of low vision rehabilitation. For this purpose, the company may cooperate with foreign organizations with similar objectives and, if necessary, may amend its name, in accordance with the provisions of the present Articles of Association.
